Raja Ampat Liveaboard Cost: What the Fare Includes (and What It Doesn’t)

People write me asking for “the price of Raja Ampat” as if it were one number. It is not. A Raja Ampat liveaboard cost depends on nights, north versus south, season, and what is already inside the fare. Here is how we explain it at Raja Ampat Adventures — a simple wooden boat for about twelve guests, not a luxury yacht with a spa menu.

What the trip fare usually covers

  • Berth on the boat, meals, drinking water, and linens
  • Tender rides to snorkel sites and viewpoint landings
  • Crew, guiding, and the route itself (Wayag loop or Misool)
  • Many village or customary contributions that come up along the itinerary

What is usually extra

Flights into Sorong, hotels before embarkation, and the official park charges — the marine-park PIN plus the regency visitor ticket. Those government fees change; we spell them out in the PIN fee guide so they are not buried inside a “from” price. Rental scuba tanks, if you dive, are confirmed separately. Your own mask is something we ask you to bring, not a hidden upsell.

Why our fares stay economical

We do not sell marble bathrooms. Cabins are clean and simple, the deck is where people actually live, and the money goes into fuel, food, and a crew that has worked these reefs since 2008. A 7-day north trip and a 10-day Misool trip are different products — longer steam, more food, more diesel. Comparing them to a Phinisi “per night” quote from a different class of boat will confuse you. Compare nights, inclusions, and group size instead.

How to get a real number

Send your month, headcount, and whether you want Wayag or Misool. We reply with the current departure and what is in or out. Start from the schedule and rates page, then message us. If you are still choosing the route, the Misool vs Wayag note will save you from booking the wrong length of trip.
